European spindle (Euonymus europaeus)

Euonymus europaeus, commonly known as the European spindle or spindle tree, is a small shrub or tree native to much of Europe. It grows to a height of 3-6 meters. It prefers well-drained, nutrient-rich soils and adapts well to various light conditions, including full sun and shade. Its water requirements are moderate. In autumn, its leaves turn vivid red or purple, and it produces red or pink fruits, which are ornamental.
